Welcome

I am a South African counsellor, trainer, and public speaker (registered as a Specialist Wellness Counsellor with the ASCHP). I offer in-person and online counselling and support for trauma, bereavement, and general life challenges. I also provide relationship coaching, particularly to people in non-monogamous relationships.
As trainer I present a variety of workshops and I am  available for public speaking engagements on request.

As Counsellor

My aim is to fully support my clients in getting what they need from our sessions. I offer both long-term support and counselling and short-term, targeted sessions that focus on a particular challenge or traumatic experience.

My approach is gentle, transparent, and non-confrontational. This does not mean you won't be challenged or that I will just validate whatever you say, but that I will not judge you, dictate what you should do, think, or feel, or presume to know you better than you know yourself.

I support you by:
• Giving you enough time to say what you need to say without interrupting or telling you how you “should” look at an issue.
• Facilitating techniques that give you a framework with which to untangle a complicated issue or situation.
• Working with you to find coping skills that work for you.
• Helping you identify childhood decisions and beliefs that are no longer useful.
• Helping you discover your core values and drivers.
• Facilitating targeted trauma debriefing techniques.
• Providing exercises and reading material for between sessions – IF you want these.
• Providing information and strategies that have helped others facing similar struggles.

Reach out to me today via WhatsApp, email, or the contacts page if you have any questions or are interested in booking a session.

As Trainer

My professional workshops are suitable for anyone in the helping professions who would like additional tools with which to help their clients address trauma and grief. You can join one of my workshops as an individual, or contact me to arrange a workshop for a group.

My personal skills building workshops are suitable for anyone who would like to gain skills in how to have a healthier relationship with themselves, or better relationship and conflict management tools. These workshops are also suitable for professionals who can use the material from the workshops with their clients.

Personal agency and self-determination are core values in my work. My practice is inclusive
and affirming of those who identify as or practice
LGBTQIA+, Neurodivergent, CNM/Polyamory/Swingers, Kinksters, & Sex Workers.

This is a secular practice. While people of all faiths are welcome and respected, and I am experienced at working with people in their own spiritual paradigm, I offer a non-religious space designed to support atheists, agnostics, and others who prefer a non-spiritual approach.

People have a tendency to health and OK-ness,
so that the ideal situation for growth
is one that allows a person the freedom of choice and autonomy
to follow their own internal choices
free from external control.
